I am entralled by the sunrises and sunsets in the Chihuahuan Desert of New Mexico. There are often clouds over the San Andreas or Black Range east and west of the Rio Grande River. The light interacts with the clouds to produce light shows to rival the great Northern Lights. I spent ten days photographing at sunrise and sunset between the ranges in the autumn of 2007. I napped in between and downloaded and sorted in the evening hours. The mountains are always black and the sky is unpredictable.
